Estherville, IA – The  Iowa Lakes Lakers Men's Basketball team is set to take on NJCAA 5th ranked Kirkwood in an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Matchup on Saturday, February 13th.

The Lakers who have won 2 in a row, most recently played Ellsworth in Iowa Falls winning the contest 72-49 behind a strong defensive performance where they held Ellsworth to 35.8% shooting from the floor. Dillon Carlson led the way in the game scoring 16 points. Kevin Cook added 12 points and 7 rebounds. Laker newcomer Xzavier Evans chipped in with 11 points and Johnathan Oden added 10 points and 8 rebounds. 

The Eagles will enter the contest having split their last 2. The Eagles' last action came Saturday against ICCAC opponent Southeastern. Southeastern would win the game 65-51.

The Matchup will be the first for the two this season. 

The Lakers are paced by Caleb Johnson. Johnson is getting 13.9 points, dishing out 3.3 assists, and grabbing 4.1 rebounds per game in ICCAC play. Lakers who are scoring in double figures this season include Xzavier Jones and Ryan Hall. Jones is scoring 13.1 points per contest while grabbing 8.0 rebounds, and Ryan Hall is scoring 10.3 points, and grabbing 4.4 rebounds.
