Iowa Lakes Men's basketball player Jhordan Ryan was named to the NJCAA All-American 2nd Team this season. He is one of four players from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division II to receive this honor. Ryan was the second leading scorer for the Lakers with 14.0 points per game while also leading the team in rebounds by averaging 11.2 rebounds per game and shooting 57% from the floor. Ryan had the second highest rebounding average in the country, as well as being sixth in the country in blocks with 87.
In addition to Ryan's NJCAA All-American Second Team honors, he has earned numerous honors throughout his career at Iowa Lakes: was named ICCAC Athlete of the Week three times this season, and NJCAA Athlete of the Week two times this season, as well as 1st Team All-Region.
"We are proud of Jhordan. He has worked hard in his time here. He is in the gym constantly and his put in the work to play at a high level. He has a bright future and is just scratching the surface of what he will be able to do", said Laker Head Coach Jason Mckinney
The Lakers finished the season with an overall record of 19-12 and 9-9 in ICCAC play.
