Iowa Lakes opened the spring season at Glen Oaks Country Club, an exclusive venue. SWICC hosted this 18-hole event featuring 11 teams. The low temperatures, pin placements, and length of Glen Oaks Country Club made for a challenging tournament. Luther College set the pace with a 305 (+21). The Lakers finished in 8th with a team total of 327 (+43). Leading the Lakers with a round of 78 (T-18) was Josh Matheason. Drew Parsons was close behind, posting a 79, earning him a T-18 finish. Zakyus Smith posted 83, Adrien Pradaut 87, and Jayden Manthei 92. 

"I was excited for the fellas to experience a course that has hosted several professional events. Thanks to SWICC for lining up and hosting this event. We had some uncharacteristic mistakes that snowballed into big numbers. Given the limited outdoor practice and the difficulty, I'm pleased with our composure," said Coach Myers. "Our weaknesses were exposed. This experience will lay a great blueprint for practice leading into Iowa Central's 2-day event. We're going to build off the lessons learned and continue stacking good days."

Iowa Lakes will tee it up Friday (4/10) and Saturday (4/11) at Fort Dodge Country Club.
