Iowa Lakes Puts Four on All-Conference Teams

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference released its end of the year honors for men's soccer. Iowa Lakes' sophomores, Freddy Fragozo and Gustavo Nascimento, were awarded First Team All-Conference honors while sophomore, Jack Stonehouse, and freshman, Rian Marques, were put on the Second Team. Sophomore, Yago Ramos, and freshman, Charlie Hackshall, were also given Honorable Mentions for their individual efforts this season. Despite losing in the Region XI Semi-Finals, Iowa Lakes had two of its athletes placed on the All-Tournament Team; freshman, Tyler Tonkin and Craig Barker, were given the honor after a well-fought performance against both NIACC and Marshalltown. The Lakers, who, despite not winning the Region XI title, had a tremendous season. The Men's Soccer team posted a program record of wins and goals as well as being ranked in the top-20 by the NJCAA for the first time. The Lakers are already beginning preparations for next season and are hopefully to capture that elusive Region XI Title.
