Men's Soccer Celebrates Record-Breaking Year

The Iowa Lakes Men's Soccer team enjoyed an end-of-the-year banquet on Thursday night in Spencer, Iowa where they celebrated a fantastic year. The Lakers ended the year having scored 76 goals and winning 14 games; both are program-records. In addition, the Lakers were ranked in the top-20 for the first time in program history; having reached as high as No. 15. The group also celebrated its six All-Conference players while handing out team awards. Goalkeeper, Ollie Harrison, was awarded Defensive Player-of-the-Year; forward, Rian Marques, was awarded the Golden Boot for most goals scored; and midfielder, Gustavo Nascimento was awarded Most Valuable Player.

The Lakers hope to improve next year as they look to earning a trip to the national tournament.
