Another Iowa Lakes Community College Soccer standout has signed papers to advance to a University to continue his soccer career. Jack Stonehouse will join the University of Hawaii Hilo Vulcans as he pursues his bachelor's degree.
As a Laker, Stonehouse appeared in 18 games, starting in 16 of those. He registered three goals – one of which was a game winner – and had six assists ending his sophomore season with 12 points. "Iowa Lakes has been a great experience for me," said Stonehouse. "All the staff members were a tremendous help to me and made me feel comfortable while I was thousands of miles from my home in Hartlepool, England."
"I would especially like to thank Coach Ben and Coach Blake. I owe a lot to them for helping me over the last two years," Stonehouse added. And the future looks bright. "I'm excited about the future and I think Hawaii will be a great place to see out my time in the states."
In addition, Stonehouse was presented with a 2nd Team All-Conference award in the 2016 season.
