SPENCER- The #8 Ranked ILCC Lakers hosted #12 Marshalltown in Spencer on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. The Lakers are coming off a dominating win on Monday beating Indian Hills 7-2. Marshalltown comes into the match with a 2-1 loss to #2 Iowa Western. 

The Lakers and striker David Owusu picked up right where they left off from Monday. Scoring two goals in the first twenty minutes. Owusu's first goal coming from a great pass courtesy of Sophomore winger Raz Levy and the second from Sophomore Sofian Maghouz. The Lakers would head into halftime up 2-0.

Just ten minutes into the start of the second half David Owusu would complete his hattrick by picking the ball up at midfield and running past the Marshalltown defenders and slotting the ball past the Tigers goalie.

In the 75th minute, Marshalltown's Bryan Plata would be sent off with a second yellow on a late tackle on Laker Freshmen Jason Dyer. The Lakers would see out another clean sheet (4th of the season) and second for freshman goalkeeper Dion Zhubi. Iowa Lakes moves to (5-1) on the season.

The Lakers will host #2 Iowa Western in Spencer this Saturday, April 24th at 1 pm.
