SPENCER- The #8 ILCC Men's Soccer team hosted #2 Iowa Western CC on a windy Saturday afternoon here in Spencer, Iowa. The Lakers started off hot with a couple of solid early chances but could not find the Western net. The Lakers would dominate the first half but could not break the 0-0 deadlock and would head into halftime tied up.

Fifteen minutes into the second half Iowa Western's Evan Southern would steal a goal giving them the 1-0 lead. The Lakers pressed on trying to find the equalizer but it never came. The game would finish 1-0 Western moving their record to (7-0) and handing the Lakers their second loss of the year putting their record at (5-2). 

The Lakers will travel for their next match as they head to Fort Dodge, Iowa to take on the Iowa Central Tritons who gave the Lakers their first loss of the season in overtime back on April 15th.
