Connal Doran – Iowa Lakes – Freshman – Goalkeeper

Connal Doran is looking sharp after helping make critical saves against No. 19 Neosho County (Kan.) to see out a 3-1 win. Against Neosho County Doran played the full 90 minutes and made three saves while facing four total shots. He may have not kept the clean sheet but his ability to keep the ball out of the net certainly helped win the game for the Lakers with two of his saves coming late in the game when the score was 2-1. Doran has split time so far this season with Louis Krüger in goal, each starting two games this season. With his most recent performance Doran may have earned a slight bit of the edge in what seems to be a goalkeeper competition. While it isn't certain if Doran will be the starter in the Lakers next match against Division I opponent No. 7 Indian Hills, if he does start it would seem he would be up to the task.
