#8 Iowa Lakes Explodes for Eight Goals in Conference Victory

Spencer, IA — The #8 nationally ranked Iowa Lakes men's soccer team put on a commanding performance Wednesday, earning an 8–2 conference road victory over Northwest Iowa Community College.

The Lakers controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting the hosts 28–2, including 19 shots on goal. Seven different players found the back of the net in a well-rounded offensive display.

Freshman Sam Macauley opened the scoring in the 7th minute, followed by goals from Sharif Nata N'tcha (25'), Rashidi Ishibwami (39'), and Sam Storey (50'). Ben Musengo converted from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute, before Nata N'tcha netted his second of the match in the 62nd. Ephrem Aungi added his first collegiate goal in the 76th minute, and Jose Velasquez capped the scoring in the 84th.

Defender Rayan Perrot Bouziyanne was a standout performer, tallying three assists from the left back position.

With the win, Iowa Lakes improves to 6–5–2 on the season. The Lakers will return home for a crucial conference matchup against #7 Western Iowa Tech on Saturday, October 11 at 3:30 p.m. The contest will mark Iowa Lakes' 11th game this season against a nationally ranked opponen
