Two Lakers Earn United Soccer Coaches All- American

Sophomore standouts Sam Storey and Florent Lefebvre have been named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans, adding another national honor to their exceptional 2025–26 seasons. Both were also recognized earlier this month by the NJCAA, marking a rare dual distinction that underscores their impact on the field.

Storey, a midfielder from Newcastle, England, appeared in 19 matches with 18 starts, contributing 2 goals, 3 assists, and a commanding presence in possession. Head Coach Ben MacRae praised his influence, saying: "Sam earned this through his quality and consistency all year. He was the engine of our midfield and made our team better in every phase of the game. To be recognized by both the NJCAA and United Soccer Coaches speaks to the level he played at week after week."

Lefebvre, a defender from Lens, France, delivered one of the most complete seasons in the country, recording 6 goals, 7 assists, and 40 shots while anchoring the back line. MacRae highlighted his two-way excellence: "Flo has been one of the best defenders in the country for two years, and this honor reflects that. His ability to impact the game defensively and offensively is rare at this level. Being named an All-American by both organizations is a deserved reward for the standard he brings."

Storey and Lefebvre now join the program's growing list of nationally recognized players, further elevating the profile of Iowa Lakes and its commitment to developing top-tier talent.
