Phone: 712-580-8637

Bryan Marshall joined Iowa Lakes in May 2025 as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach under Head Coach Ben MacRae, entering his first season with the Lakers program.

Marshall previously served as Head Coach at York Preparatory Academy (2023–2025), where he led a dramatic program turnaround. Taking over a team that went winless the year before his arrival, he guided the Patriots to back-to-back State Quarterfinal appearances. To build the program’s foundation, Marshall assembled a coaching staff made up of his former NCAA Division I teammates—Sam Pidgeon, Kalani Harris, Jayden Mace, and Sam Bell—bringing high-level playing and coaching experience into the program.

In addition to his high school coaching success, Marshall also serves as Head Coach of the North West Iowa Soccer Club’s U19 Boys and Girls programs, where he focuses on technical development, competitive growth, and preparing players for the next level.

As a player, Marshall competed at both the NCAA Division I and Division II levels. At Winthrop University, he played under Head Coach Dan Ridenhour, logging over 3,000 minutes across center back, right back, and left back while serving as team captain from 2022–2024. He later transferred to the University of Tampa as a graduate student, playing under Head Coach Adrian Bush, where he was part of a nationally ranked back line that climbed as high as No. 15 in the country. During the summers of his collegiate career, Marshall also competed in USL League Two with Wake Futbol Club and Tampa Bay United, gaining valuable experience at the pre-professional level.

Marshall earned his bachelor’s degree in International Business with a minor in Spanish from Winthrop University. He began his MBA at the University of Tampa and is currently completing his degree online through Southern New Hampshire University, allowing him to pursue coaching full time.

Off the field, Marshall comes from a soccer-driven family. His mother, Adriana, and father, John, have been constant supporters throughout his career. His younger brother, Brandon, is currently a junior at Providence College (NCAA Division I), where he helped the Friars win the Big East Conference Championship in 2024. Brandon also lifted the USL League Two National Championship with Vermont Green FC in the summer of 2025.
