Laker Softball Signs Alissa Cisneros

Iowa Lakes Community College Head Softball Coach Katie Larson announced the signing of Alissa Cisneros to the 2017-2018 recruiting class. Alissa is the daughter of Frank and Irene Cisneros and plays for Ramona High School in Riverside, California.

"It is a privilege to announce the addition of Alissa Cisneros and her family to our program and our Laker family. Alissa has tremendous passion for this game and it shows when she plays," commented Larson.

In her junior season, Alissa had a batting average of .270 with one homerun. The shortstop also had a .957 fielding percentage with just two errors on the season.

Alissa has also done a tremendous job giving back to the sport that she loves so much. She has umpired for four years at the softball league she started her softball career, Riverside Girls Softball Association. Alissa has also helped run youth softball clinics at her local high school and at Riverside Girls Softball Association.

Larson also had this to say, "Alissa brings the mind set of being a winner to this program. She possesses a work ethic and solid fundamentals, which will offer us versatility on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, she will provide us with consistency on base and will fit into our running game perfectly. I am thrilled to watch Alissa grow for the next two years in a Laker uniform."
