Iowa Lakes Community College Head Coach Katie Larson announced the signing of Lexi Pallisco to the 2017-2018 recruiting class. Lexi is the daughter of Jane Pallisco and played for Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
"We welcome Lexi Pallisco and her family to Iowa Lakes softball today," said Larson. "Her work ethic and love for the game are the traits that we want future Laker softball players to exemplify as well."
Lexi is a four-year starter and letter-winner for her high school. In her career, she has played 2nd base, shortstop, outfield, and catcher. She has put together a .400 batting average the last four years. In her freshman season, she was awarded Rookie of the Year. Sophomore year, she received Colorado Springs Metro League Honorable Mention. In her final year Lexi was awarded, Colorado Springs Metro League Honorable Mention, Academic All-State Honorable Mention, and Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year.
In addition to softball, Lexi participated in basketball during high school. She was also a member of Student Council and Link Crew.
"Lexi is a very athletic and versatile player. She has played nearly every position on the field, which will allow us to move her around to give us the best look next year. Lexi's energy and love for this sport is contagious. We believe she will be the ball of energy that every team needs to get through an entire season. We are excited to watch Lexi grow as a student-athlete next year!"
