Iowa Lakes Community College Head Softball Coach, Katie King, announced the signing of Madison Goosmann to the 2022-2023 recruiting class. Goosmann is the daughter of Jay and Autumn Goosmann and is a graduate of Hinton High School in Hinton, Iowa.

"We are very excited to welcome Madison and her family into our family. Madison had an incredible senior season and we are looking for her to continue this at Iowa Lakes," commented Coach King.

In her senior year, Goosmann batted .451 with a .527 on-base percentage for the Blackhawks. She compiled 41 hits on the year, with seven doubles, one triple, and two homeruns. In 91 at bats, Goosmann struck out just five times, while drawing fifteen walks. She also drove in 30 of her teammates on the season. In the field, Goosmann had 17 assists with 280 putouts to earn a .971 fielding percentage. For her efforts this year, Goosmann earned All-Conference, All-District, and Third Team All-State. As a junior, she was awarded All-Conference.

As to why Goosmann chose Iowa Lakes, "I want to grow as a player and individual, I chose Iowa Lakes because I believe they will push me to be the best I can be on and off the field."

"I believe Madison will do a great job for us behind the plate. We graduated seven sophomores last year, so are really looking for athletes that can step in and make an immediate impact for us. I believe she could do just that!" Commented Coach King. "It will be awesome to watch Madison continue to grow as both a player and person the next two years."
