Iowa Lakes Softball Has Nine Athletes Receive Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete Award

The Iowa Lakes Softball team had a tremendous year both on the field and in the classroom. The Lakers had nine of their student-athletes receive the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete award. To receive this award, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The athletes that were recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for their academics were: Brooklyn Bode, sophomore from Nicollet, MN, Abby Burgess, sophomore from Saskatchewan, Canda, Alexis Cullinane, sophomore from Louisburg, KS, Kassidy Elkins, freshman from Estacada, OR, Morgan Fine, freshman from Spirit Lake, IA, Morgan Kolodzienski, freshman from Ellsworth, WI, Myla Murphy, sophomore from Graettinger, IA, Macy Pickett, freshman from Alberta, Canada, Bailey Smith, freshman from Lawrence, KS.

"I am very proud of these student-athletes. These young ladies have dedicated their time and energy to succeed both on the field and in the classroom, and it is fun to see them recognized for this." Commented Coach King.
