The Iowa Lakes Softball team had a tremendous year both on the field and in the classroom. The Lakers had ten of their student-athletes receive the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete award. To receive this award, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average for the 202-2026 academic year.

The athletes that were recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for their academics were: Karlee Akers, sophomore from Winterset, IA, Leah Bode, freshman from Nicollet, MN, Kassidy Elkins, sophomore from Estacada, OR, Kenzie Enter, freshman from New Ulm, MN, Britney Hageman, freshman from Fort Atkinson, IA, Gracie Knobloch, freshman from Hartley, IA, Mary Koch, freshman from Sioux Falls, SD, Morgan Kolodzienski, sophomore from Ellsworth, WI, Katie Kvigne, freshman from Dell Rapids, SD, and Macy Pickett, sophomore from Alberta, Canada.

"Our student-athletes continue to prove that success is not just measured by what they accomplish in competition, but also by the dedication that show in the classroom. Earning this award reflects their commitment to excellence, discipline, and the way they represent our program every day. I could not be prouder of the work they've put in, and this recognition is well deserved." Said Coach King.
