(Emmetsburg, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting Head Coach Rick Kalsow is no stranger to sports shooting competitions. Kalsow recently brought home two trophies from the 2021 Grand American World Trapshooting Championship in Sparta, Ill. The championship event was held August 4 through 14. Kalsow placed third in the blazer handicap with a score of 97x100 and won the super 500 senior veteran handicap with 469x500.

Kalsow is in his fourth year as a head coach for the Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting team. The fall season has wrapped up and Iowa Lakes finished 2-3 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference. The Lakers are looking forward to the spring season and the National shoot.
