(Emmetsburg, IA)   Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting Head Coach Bryan Long is pleased to announce the signing of Elizabeth Schimmer for the 2025-2026 year. 

Schimmer competed with the Ida County Trap Team while in high school as well as participating in many other athletics and activities.  Her average was 92% and her best round was 99/100. 

While attending Ridge View High School, Schimmer lettered academically as well as in track.  She was a Western Iowa Conference winner all four years of high school and was a member of the National Honor Society. 

Schimmer said she chose Iowa Lakes because, "I really liked the friendly atmosphere that Iowa Lakes had when I took my college visits that made it stand out amongst other colleges."

"Elizabeth is a proficient shooter," stated Long. "She will a great addition to the team. I look forward to coaching her and having her apart of the team."
