(Estherville, Iowa) Jeremiah Burke - Iowa Lakes - Sophomore - Forward

Iowa Lakes' Jeremiah Burke took on a bigger role with two of the Lakers starters out last week. Burke took advantage of the opportunity, recording 35 minutes per game. Burke was 24 of 38 from the field to total 55 points in two games. Burke in a game against Southeast (Neb.) Jeremiah had 24 points and 23 boards. In the next game against Central (Neb.) Burke stayed hot, pouring in 31 points along with another 20 rebounds. Burke boosted his average on the season to 15 points and 11 rebounds per game in 10 games this season.

Division II Women's Basketball

Brielle Bartelt - Iowa Lakes - Sophomore - Guard

Iowa Lakes' Brielle Bartelt aided the Lakers to two wins last week and improved their record to 5-4 on the season. Bartelt collected 36 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, seven steals, and a block between the two games. Against Southeast (Neb.) she had 14 points, four assists and four steals -- and later had 22 points, nine rebounds and three steals against Central (Neb.). It was the third time in nine games this season the sophomore has scored 20 or more points. On the season she is posting 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. She is second in the league in made three pointers with 16 and second in made free throws with 32.
