The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team defeated NIACC 70-66. The Lakers have won their last five games.
The Lakers were led by Brielle Bartelt and Jaydan Nitchals with 15 points a piece. "Huge win for our team tonight. So proud of the girls and how they fought for 40 minutes. I thought it was one of those grind it out wins. I thought we guarded really well and handled their press. It was a great team effort and we got a lot of production out of everyone," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 15-9 on the season and 7-4 in conference play. The Lakers return to play at home for Jam the Gym day on Saturday, February 10th at 1:00pm vs DMACC.
