For a second consecutive week, Tavara Swonger has been named ICCAC Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Lakers to two wins this past week. Swonger put up 33 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and five steals. In the first game of the week, Iowa Lakes defeated Marshalltown with a 67-57 win; Swonger scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out two assists. The most pivotal performance for Swonger came in the Lakers' upset win over No. 12 NIACC as she scored 15 points with nine rebounds, four steals and three assists in the 63-57 win. Iowa Lakes remains the only one of two unbeaten teams in league play along with Kirkwood.
