ESTHERVILLE, Iowa — Two Iowa Lakes Community College women's basketball players were recognized by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division II Women's Basketball All-Region teams following outstanding seasons.

Zoey Wooten was named First Team All-Region and was also selected to the ICCAC All-Defensive Team, while Shanya Glover earned Second Team All-Region honors.

Wooten had a tremendous sophomore season for the Lakers and was a leader on both ends of the floor. Her ability to score, rebound, and defend made her one of the most complete guards in the conference. Wooten consistently impacted games with her defensive pressure and effort, which earned her a spot on the ICCAC All-Defensive Team.

Head Coach Ashley Martin commented on Wooten's recognition, saying,
"Zoey has been such an important part of our program. Her leadership, toughness, and defensive intensity set the tone for our team every day. She competes at a high level and makes plays on both ends of the floor. I'm really proud of the season she had and the recognition she earned."

Freshman Shanya Glover also had an impressive first season as a Laker, earning Second Team All-Region honors. Glover made an immediate impact with her scoring ability, athleticism, and defensive presence. Throughout the season she consistently provided energy for the Lakers and proved to be a dynamic playmaker on both ends of the court.

Coach Martin also praised Glover's performance this season, stating,
"Shanya had a great freshman season for us. She plays with a lot of confidence and brings a competitive edge every time she steps on the floor. She continued to grow throughout the season and became a key part of our success. We're excited to see how she continues to develop in the years ahead."

The Lakers finished with a 19-11 overall record on the season and ended ICCAC play with a record of 15-7.
