Iowa Lakes Battles but Falls 1-3 to Southeast
September 11, 2025 | Lincoln, Neb. – The Iowa Lakes Community College volleyball team went on the road Thursday night to face Southeast Community College, falling in four sets to the Storm. The Lakers dropped the match by scores of 22-25, 25-17, 23-25, and 22-25.
Iowa Lakes answered back after dropping the first set, controlling the second with steady play to even the match. The Lakers battled point for point in the third and fourth, but Southeast held on late in both sets to secure the win.
Offensively, Madison Conrad led the way with a .269 hitting percentage on the night. Brooklyn White recorded a double-double performance with 10 kills and 13 digs, while libero Lorin Turkdogan anchored the back row with a team-high 15 digs.
The Lakers move to 3-7 on the season. Iowa Lakes will return to action this weekend at the NDSCS Tournament in Wahpeton, N.D., where they will compete Friday and Saturday.
