September 16, 2025 | Estherville, Iowa – The Iowa Lakes Community College volleyball team hosted Minnesota West on Monday night at Laker Gymnasium, falling in straight sets. The Lakers dropped the match by scores of 18-25, 14-25, and 12-25. 

Iowa Lakes played competitively early in the match but was unable to sustain momentum as Minnesota West controlled the pace in the second and third sets to secure the sweep. 

"We didn't bring the consistency we needed tonight," Head Coach Menzies said. "It's about learning from this and finding ways to respond as we move forward." 

The Lakers move to 4-11 on the season. Iowa Lakes will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 17, when they host Marshalltown Community College at 7 p.m. at Laker Gymnasium.
