September 20, 2025 | Estherville, Iowa – Iowa Lakes Community College outside hitter/defensive specialist Lily Kunselman reached a career milestone on Thursday night, recording her 100th career service ace during the Lakers' five-set victory over William Penn University JV in Oskaloosa, IA.
Kunselman tallied two aces in the match, including the milestone point, while also contributing 12 digs and three assists in the 3–2 win (11–25, 25–22, 27–29, 25–23, 15–13). She now leads the Lakers with 32 aces on the season and is averaging 3.05 digs per set, showing her impact both at the service line and in the back row.
"Lily's 100th ace is a testament to her consistency and hard work," Head Coach Taylor Menzies said. "She's a hard worker who contributes in multiple areas, and she continues to show growth. We're proud of her for pushing through and helping the team finish strong in five sets."
The Lakers improve to 6-11 on the year. Iowa Lakes will return to action on Monday, Sept. 22, when they travel to Madison, SD, to compete in a triangular against Dakota State JV at 4:00 p.m. and Mount Marty JV at 5:30 p.m.
