The Iowa Lakes squad opened there season up with a dog fight of a match-up, having #2 ranked Iowa Central for their first home dual of 25-26. The Lakers although dropping the dual had a standout performance from Nina Aceves and Soledad Luchman having been the two Lakers with non-forfeit victories over there competitors. The Lady Lakers ended the dual with a team score of 36-15 in favor of Iowa Central.
