Muniz is entering his Fourth year as the Head Coach of the Women's program.

In his three-years, Muniz has coached 1 National Champion, 5 All-Americans, and 8 Scholar All-Americans. Muniz also serves on the NWCA NJCAA Women's Wrestling Leadership Program

Year three saw the biggest leap in the program's performance. In a year that saw Iowa Lakes finish 8th in the NJCAA, they earn 4 All-American honors and the programs first National Champion. On top of that, they earned five NWCA Scholar All-Americans and finished with a team GPA award, finishing sixth for Women's Wrestling. The team sent the maximum 15 athletes to the national invite and finished 10th at the NJCAA National Duels. Coach Muniz added depth to the roster and the coaching staff, with the first Graduate Assistant in program history. National Champion Keyahna Phillips was awarded Iowa Lakes Atheltics female athlete of the year. She was also named a finalist for the ICCAC Female Athelte of the Year.

In year two, the Lakers doubled their competitior to 14 comepting at the NJCAA National tournament, finishing 12th in the nation and earning the proprams first All-American at 160 pounds. Iowa Lakes also added two more NWCA Scholar All-Americans in Nina Aceves and Riley Weiler. It was a year of plenty of steps in the right direction as they had one ICCAC conference tournament finalist and won Athelte of the Week honors 4 seperate times in the ultra-comeptitive ICCAC. The team also earn it's first dual win in program history and crowned it's first tournament champion when Keyahna Phillips won the Lakeland Scramble. On the academic side for conference, Isabel Jues, Willow Stewart, and Savanna Salen earned All-Region 2nd team honors while Weiler and Aceves earned 1st team.

In year one of the program, the Lakers had Seven athletes compete at the NJCAA National tournament, finishing 14th as a team at the event. The Lakers also saw one athlete, Isabel Jues, earn Scholar All-American Honors from the NWCA. Jues was a Quarterfinalst at 130 lbs. The team also finished with four ICCAC Academic All-Region selections, with three earning first-team honors, and one earning a second-team selection.

In two years as an assistant for the Iowa Lakes Men's Wrestling Team, Muniz has found success with four wrestlers obtaining All-American status, two National Finalists, and one National Champion. Muniz also focused on the academic side of the sport with his student-athletes, with one athlete achieving Scholar All-American honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).

Before coaching at Iowa Lakes, Muniz had a prolific wrestling career earning a spot on the Team Illinois Junior national team for Freestyle and Greco in 2014 and 2015, and wrestled at the collegiate level under Head Coach LeRoy Gardner for the University of The Ozarks' Eagles in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Muniz's collegiate-level wrestling record included winning over 80 matches with 13 falls, 21 tech falls, and 13 major decisions. Muniz won the Central College Under Armour Invitational, the Ouachita Baptist University Hatcher Invite, and the Luther College Gator "Boots" Dual. In addition, he placed second in the Oklahoma City Open, third at the Cornell College Mike Duroe Invitational, fourth at the Southeast Wrestling Conference, fourth at the Central Baptist College Wrestling Invitational, eighth in the Citrus Invitational, and a finalist at the Beaver Open.

As an Eagle, Muniz was named an All-American at the Greco-Roman U23 World Team Trials, Southeast Conference Wrestler of the Week, Breakthrough Athlete of the Year, and is the record holder of technical fall victories (21).

Muniz graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Ozarks with minors in Accounting, Economics, Philosophy, and Quantitative Reasoning. Muniz then earned a master's degree in Corporate Finance Management from Upper Iowa University in 2023.
