"I am very happy about the performance of the Laker softball team this week. We worked well as a team and everyone did a great job taking on their role. Without them, I would not be receiving this award and I give all my thanks to them. We are in the middle of our season and we are all eager to keep playing," commented Chase.
Chase's best game of the week came against Division I Iowa Western Community College. In this game, Chase threw a complete game shutout. In seven innings she struck out eleven batters, allowing just five hits.
"It has been awesome to watch Lexi play softball the last two years. She has a passion for the game that allows her to be successful. She demands excellence from herself and her teammates and that is why you see her continue to receive these awards. It will be a lot of fun to see her and her teammates finish this season and see how far they can go," commented Coach King.
