Rachel Puok, a freshman guard from Des Moines Iowa, was named the ICCAC (Iowa Community College Athletic Conference) player of the week for the Lakers.

In the week of February 1st-7th, the Lakers faced Southwestern and Southeastern where Puok had a total of 35 points (17.5 ppg), 18 rebounds (9rpg), and 4 steals (2 spg). Puok is the second leading scorer on the team averaging 14.3 points per game.

"Rachel has continued to improve everyday. She has attacked the basket well and has been a threat from the perimeter. She has helped our team have success early. I look forward to seeing her continue to improve," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin. 

The Lakers currently hold a record of 3-3. The Lakers will travel to Iowa Falls, IA to play Ellsworth February 10th at 5:00 pm.
