Five Iowa Lakes Community College women's soccer athletes were named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I Women's Soccer All-Region teams.

Laura Cardenas and Alexis Vasquez were named to the ICCAC All-Region 1st team, and Abigail Thompson, Valentina Jimenez and Ellie Lawrence were named to the ICCAC All-Region Honorable Mention team. Laura Cardenas, a sophomore center midfielder from Bogota, Columbia. "Laura is a player that doesn't show up on the stat sheet. This season she controlled the midfield for us with keeping us composed on the ball with simple play along with her tenacity on the defensive side of the game," commented Coach Miller.

Alexis Vasquez, a freshman center midfielder/forward from Medera, California. Being side-lined for a beginning of the season with a knee injury, Alexis did not let that affect her when she got back on the field. She had 2 assists and 2 goals on the season. "Alexis's work ethic to rehab from injury at the beginning of the season to becoming a contributing in assists and goals in the season was huge. Her energy on the field is contagious," commented Coach Miller.

Abigail Thompson, a sophomore defender from Newcastle, England. "Abi has grown a lot as a player this season. Her ability to win balls in the air was huge defensively for us this season," said Coach Miller.

Valentina Jimenez, a sophomore goalkeeper from Villavicencio Meta, Columbia. "Valentina really stepped up in goal for us this season. She made some incredible saves that kept us in games this fall," commented Coach Miller.

Ellie Lawrence, a sophomore defender from Brighton, England. "Ellie started every game for us and contributed this season in the back line as a center back or outside back depending on where we needed her that game," said Coach Miller.

The Lakers ended their season with an overall record of 3-10 and finished third in the conference.
